Crappie fishing on Chickamauga Lake has been excellent in the recent years, with the best times to catch them being from early winter and continues into May.
Chickamauga Lake also has exceptional bluegill fishing, with best times to catch them being from early April and continues into June.
Trophy catfishing is the "new wave" on the Tennessee River. Monster blue cats, channel cats and flatheads are abundant in Chickamauga Lake and can be caught year round.
